NELHA CHEMIST III
Primary duties: Responsible for the collection of samples, analysis and data recording of seawater, groundwater and freshwater. Work requires knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry, qualitative and quantitative analysis, chemical laboratory procedures, knowledge of laws, regulations and standards pertaining to environmental monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in chemistry or a closely related science. Two to three years progressively responsible work experience of the kind and quality described above. One year of specialized work experience is also preferred, specifically in seawater analysis.
Salary/Benefits: Approximately $40k $50k. This position is exempt from State Civil Service requirements but features fringe benefits such as vacation and sick leave, health and life insurance, and retirement.
