YOUTH GRIEVANCE SPECIALIST
Kailua, Oahu
Temporary Exempt Position (Non-Civil Service)
with the Office of Youth Services
Implement and oversee the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility grievance system, facilitate the grievance process, and investigate and resolve youth grievances. Includes providing youths access to grievance forms, reviewing grievances filed by youths at the facility and on furlough or parole, investigating and resolving grievances in a timely manner, maintaining records of grievances and complaints, and ensuring all aspects of the polices and procedures on grievances are carried out.
Qualification Summary:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree; one (1) year professional work experience in eliciting facts and information orally and in writing, applying problem solving methods to evaluate problems and situations, and identifying and recommending effective solutions. Requires a valid drivers license. Relevant substitutions allowed.
