PROGRAM SPECIALIST III & IV
(SUBSTANCE ABUSE)

($3,376 & $3,652/month)
Permanent & Temporary, Full-time

Responsible for providing administrative and technical support to public and private nonprofit agencies and organizations engaged in the statewide system of substance abuse prevention and treatment services. Conducts studies and analyses; develops, interprets and applies policies and procedures; and coordinates assigned tasks with affected internal and external agencies and programs.

Requires bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, public health, or related major; 11/2 years experience in social work, public health, or related field; knowledge of community-based substance abuse prevention or treatment services. For the IV level an additional 1 year of experience including the ability to conduct studies/analyses of programs/projects through planning, coordination and development and/or evaluation of program/activities relative to alcohol/drug use. Appropriate substitution allowed.
