STATE OF HAWAII
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Notice is hereby given that the STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (SDOT) will be holding follow-up statewide public informational meetings to discuss and solicit comments on the Draft STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (STIP) for FISCAL YEARS 2008 – 2011 (+2). We encourage participation in these meetings, as comments received will help to guide the finalization of the STIP.

With the passage of SAFETEA-LU, the STIP is now a four-year programming implementation document that identifies STATE and COUNTY transportation projects, statewide, to be funded, in part, with Federal Highway and Transit funds.

Copies of the DRAFT STIP Fiscal Years 2008 – 2011 (+2) are available for public review and comment and may be obtained by calling (808) 587-6355 or can be accessed on-line at: http://www.hawaii.gov/dot/stp/stip
