DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Salary negotiable (EM-08)

DUTIES:

Serves as the Department Director, directly responsible to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu for the organization, planning, administration, and operation of the Department of Emergency Management. Position requires availability around the clock to coordinate response to an emergency.

REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in business or public administration or related field. Five years of responsible administrative experience in government or large organization which shall have involved developing and coordinating large scale emergency plans and operations to be implemented in times of emergencies or major disasters, two of which shall have included supervising emergency management and/or homeland security activities.
