NOTICE TO BIDDERS
(Chapter 103D, HRS)

Sealed bids will be received at the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (“HHFDC”), 677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, up to 2:00 P. M. on Thursday, July 26, 2007, for HHFDC Job No. 07-012-K85-S, Villages of Kapolei Roadway Maintenance and Repair, Kapolei (Ewa), Oahu, Hawaii at which time all properly received and time-stamped bids will be publicly opened and read out loud.

Beginning Monday, June 25, 2007, the INVITATION FOR BID may be examined and purchased at the HHFDC at the above address. The purchase price for each set of INVITATION FOR BIDS is a non-refundable $25.00. Cash will be accepted. A cashier’s or certified check made payable to “Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation,” will also be accepted. Personal checks or personal business checks will not be accepted.

Notice of Intent to Bid must be received and time- stamped at the office of the HHFDC no later than 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 16, 2007, the tenth (10) calendar day prior to the date designated for the opening of the bids. Forms are included in the bidding documents and are available at the above address. The Notice of Intent to Bid may be filed by fax at (808) 587-0600. Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor’s Type “A” or Specialty “C-3”, “C-3a”, “C-14”, and “C-33” License to be eligible to bid.

The scope of services consists of the roadway maintenance and repair of all public roadways within the Villages of Kapolei as described in the INVITATION FOR BIDS. Roadway maintenance and repair will involve replacement to traffic signs, roadway makers and markings, pothole and pavement repair and graffiti removal. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site requiring this service to familiarize themselves with existing conditions and the extent of services required as stated in the scope of services.

All bids shall include the State General Excise Tax of 4.5%. The HHFDC may reject any and all bids and may waive any bid defects whenever HHFDC deems such action is in the best interest of HHFDC. The determination of the successful bidder will be made by HHFDC.

A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled at the HHFDC at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 13, 2007. Attendance by all prospective bidders is recommended, but not required.
