REGISTERED NURSE V
$6,133/mo. ($6,440/mo. effective 7/1/07)

Direct care. Utilizing an expert body of knowledge in psychiatric nursing, incumbent will assist in developing psychiatric programming; act as consultant on direct patient care matters; develop policy and propose criteria for monitoring nursing practice; design/ provide individual & group clinical supervision to front line nurses; & work closely w/ nurse managers to support quality psychiatric nursing care.

REGISTERED NURSE III
$5,246/mo. ($5,508/mo. effective 7/1/07)

Direct care positions provide nursing care while assigned to one or more clinical services of the hospital & must be available for rotating shifts.

Non-direct care positions involve staff development and/or risk management.

All positions req. graduation from accredited school of nursing & Hawaii professional nurse license. RN V req. 2-1/2 yrs. of professional nursing exp. incl. 1 yr. comparable to the IV level in State service. RN III req. 6 months of professional nursing exp. Appropriate substitutions allowed.
