REGISTERED NURSE VI
(IMMUNIZATION BRANCH CHIEF)

Salary: $6,631 per month (SR-26)
($6,963 per month effective 7/1/07)

The Registered Nurse VI serves as the Chief of the Immunization Branch, and coordinates and directs planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of activities to prevent and control serious infectious diseases for which vaccines are available. The position coordinates efforts to raise and maintain high immunization rates for targeted populations to meet state and federal regulations and objectives and the recommendations of the ACIP. The RN VI manages an annual federal grant of approximately $3 million, and ensures the successful completion of grant activities and attainment of goals.

Minimum qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, 3-1/2 years of professional nursing experience, valid State of Hawaii RN license, and administrative aptitude. Appropriate substitutions allowed.
