NOTICE TO OFFERORS
(CHAPTER 103D, HAWAII REVISED STATUES)
The State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources (Department) is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a koa (Acacia koa) timber salvage opportunity for approximately 205 acres located in the Hilo Forest Reserve on the Island of Hawaii (No. Hawaii-07-02). The RFP is open to all qualified bidders, and selection will be based on a Comparative Evaluation Criteria as detailed in the State Procurement Code Chapter 3-122, HRS. The Departments Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) will evaluate all submitted proposals and manage any selected project(s). Copies of this RFP are available from DOFAW offices at 1151 Punchbowl St. Room 325, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, or 19 E. Kawili St., Hilo, HI 96720 at no cost or by download at the State Procurement Office website, http://www.spo.hawaii.gov/ or at DOFAW website, http://www.dofaw.net. The RFP will be posted and available from May 22, 2007 to July 3, 2007.
Sealed written proposals complying with RFP criteria must be received at either DOFAW office listed above by 4:30 pm (HST) on July 3, 2007, or as amended. Proposals received after this date and time will not be considered and will be returned to the applicant unopened. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Proposals postmarked by July 3, 2007 but not received by either location by July 3, 2007 will not be considered for award and will be returned to offeror unopened. Please account for postal and routing delays when submitting via postal mail. A pre-proposal conference and site visit is tentatively scheduled for June 6, 2007 in Hilo on the Island of Hawaii.
