The intent of this meeting is to receive public comments on the transportation planning process. If unable to participate in the meeting, written comments should be submitted directly to FHWA, attention Elizabeth Fischer, by mail (P.O. Oahu’s transportation planning process is handled through the OahuMPO, a joint City-State agency. The OahuMPO is responsible for identifying Oahu’s future transportation needs and the programming of federal funds for such projects. This is achieved primarily through the development of the Oahu Regional Transportation Plan, a long range plan with a 25-year horizon; identification of City and State transportation projects eligible for federal funding in the Transportation Improvement Program; and identification of City and State transportation planning studies in the Overall Work Program.

Part of Oahu’s transportation planning process is to provide opportunities such as this for the public to comment on the process. Additional information about the OahuMPO can be found on the web at www.OahuMPO.org.
