NOTICE OF DISPOSITION OF
IMPOUNDED VESSEL AND NOTICE OF RIGHT TO ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING.
Notice is given that the following vessel: Item No. 0703, KAMOME, Reg# HA 1706 H and USCG Doc.#299554, a 53 wood cabin motorboat; has been impounded by the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, 333 Queen Street, #300, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96813 pursuant to Section 200-48, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
The owner of the vessel has ten (10) days from date of this notice to request, in writing, an administrative hearing from the Administrator of the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation at 333 Queen Street, #300, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. The administrative hearing is solely for the purpose of allowing the owner or operator of an impounded vessel to contest the basis given by the department for the impoundment of the vessel. The hearing must be held within five (5) working days of the departments receipt of the written request.
Vessel Item No. 0703 shall be disposed of as junk pursuant to Section 200-49, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS). The person(s) entitled to possession may repossess and remove same prior to April 6, 2007, upon payment of all harbor use fees and impound related expenses incurred in connection with the vessel.
An owner of personal property on or within the impounded vessel may claim their personal property by making a written request to the Administrator of the Division of Boating & Ocean Recreation that includes satisfactory proof of ownership. Any personal property valued at less than $1,000.00 on or within this impounded vessel, not claimed by April 6, 2007 shall be disposed of as junk. This vessel is under the custody of the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Trespassing is prohibited.
