TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2007-2 TO AMEND SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIII OF SECTION 15-11.2(c) ESTABLISHING YIELD RIGHT-OF-WAY; SCHEDULE XVII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(4) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES– AM PEAK; SCHEDULE XVIII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(5) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–PM PEAK; SCHEDULE XIX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(6) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–AM/PM PEAK; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVI OF SECTION 15-16.1 ESTABLISHING TIME LIMIT PARKING; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Independence Rd., between Coral Sea Rd. and Bougainville St.”

“Kaiolu St., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Imipono St., between McArthur and Alohiki Sts.”

“Kekauoha St., for its entire length.”

“Lexington St., for its entire length.”

“Mill St., for its entire length.”

“Waimakua Dr., for its entire length.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Anoi Rd., Kahuku (north) of Keaahala Rd.; to read:

“Anoi Rd., for its entire length, except as listed under Schedules 4 and 38.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kaiolu St., from Kuhio Ave. to Ala Wai Blvd.”

c. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following item:

“Alakawa St. No left turn from Alakawa St. into the Costco Exit driveway.”

d. By amending Schedule XIII of Sec. 15-11.2(c) by adding thereto the following item:

“Iolani Ave-Kamamalu Ave. Traffic, Ewa bound, making a right turn in the mauka direction from the right channelized lane on Iolani Ave., shall yield the right-of-way to traffic on Kamamalu Ave.”

e. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Independence Rd-Coral Sea Rd. Traffic on Independence Rd. shall stop before entering Coral Sea Rd.”

“Lexington St-Franklin D. Roosevelt Ave. Traffic on Lexington St. shall stop before entering Franklin D. Roosevelt Ave.”

“Lexington St-Midway Rd. Traffic on Lexington St. shall stop before entering Midway Rd.”

“Lexington St-Yorktown St. Traffic on Lexington St. shall stop before entering Yorktown St.”

“Yorktown St-Lexington St. Traffic on Yorktown St. shall stop before entering Lexington St.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Magellan Ave-Iolani Ave. Traffic on Magellan Ave. shall stop before entering Iolani Ave.”

f. By amending Schedule XVII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(4) establishing tow zones–AM Peak by amending thereto the following items:

S. Beretania St., mauka side, from Keeaumoku St. to a point 555’ Koko Head of the Koko head curb prolongation of Piikoi St.; to read:

“S. Beretania St., mauka side, from a point 192’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St. to a point 555’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Piikoi St.”

Kilauea Ave., Ewa side, distance 260’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waialae Ave.; to read:

“Kilauea Ave., Ewa side, distance 160’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waialae Ave.”

g. By amending Schedule XVIII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(5) establishing tow zones–PM Peak by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Wyllie St., makai side, between Liliha St. and Nuuanu Ave.”

h. By amending Schedule XIX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(6) establishing tow zones–AM/PM Peak by amending thereto the following item:

Wyllie St., mauka side, between Liliha St. and Nuuanu Ave.; to read:

“Wyllie St., mauka side, from a point 316’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Nuuanu Ave. to a point 124’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Liliha St.”

i. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“S. Beretania St., mauka side, distance 192’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.”

“Wyllie St., mauka side, distance 124’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Liliha St.”

“Wyllie St., mauka side, distance 316’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Nuuanu Ave.”

“Wyllie St., makai side, between Liliha St. and Nuuanu Ave.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

j. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Anoi Rd., makai (eastern) side, from the Kahuku curb prolongation of Keaahala Rd. to its Kahuku terminus and including its turnaround area.”

“Hao St., Koko Head side, distance 129’ mauka direction from a point 12’ makai of the mauka curb prolongation of Aipuni St.”

“Haumea St., northwestern side, from the southwestern curb prolongation of Manawai St. to a point 58’ southwesterly direction.”

“Mauli Pl. within its turnaround area.”

“Naai St., Ewa side, distance 105’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Halina St.”

“Waipahu Depot Rd., Ewa side, distance 70’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Waipahu St.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Hunakai St., makai side, distance 45’ Ewa direction from a point 45’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Kilauea Ave., 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. school days; to read:

“Hunakai St., makai side, distance 45’ Ewa direction from a point 90’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Kilauea Ave., 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. school days.”

Kilauea Ave., Ewa side, distance approximately 130’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waialae Ave.; to read:

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Waipahu Depot Rd., Ewa side, distance 305’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Farrington Hwy.”

k. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones subsection (b) freight loading zones by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Beretania St., mauka side, distance 35’ Ewa direction from a point 80’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.”

l. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by amending thereto the following item:

Waipahu Depot Rd., Waianae side, distance 285’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Farrington Hwy.; to read:

“Waipahu Depot Rd., Waianae side, distance 305’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Farrington Hwy.”

m. By amending Schedule XXVI of Sec. 15-16.1 establishing time limit parking by adding thereto the following items:

“Waipahu Depot Rd., (1 hr.) Koko Head side, from Hikimoe St. to Waipahu St., 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday except Sundays and State holidays.”

“Waipahu Depot Rd., (1 hr.) Ewa side, from Hikimoe St. to Waipahu St.,”

n. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following items:

“Anoi Rd., between Keaahala Rd. and its Kahuku (northern) dead end, the speed limit shall be 20 mph.”

“Dillingham Blvd., Ewa bound traffic in the makai lane must turn left at Kohou St.”

“Dillingham Blvd, Koko Head bound traffic in the mauka lane must turn left at Kokea St.”

“Kaiolu St., for its entire length, the roadway shall have a weight limit of 5 tons.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
