CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
The Employees Retirement System of the State of Hawaii (ERS) is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and administering the investment-related activities of the ERS. This position oversees the ERS $10.2 billion investment portfolio and its 35 external investment management firms. Responsibilities include the formulation, evaluation, and implementation of investment policies, procedures, and strategic plans; and preparation of reports that present viable options and recommended actions. Annual salary is $80,000 to $100,000.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Citizenship Requirements: Must be a citizen, permanent resident alien, or national of the United States. Non-citizens with unrestricted employment authorization from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service may also apply.
Education: A bachelors degree in business administration, finance, economics or related field (Masters degree or CFA designation desirable).
Specialized Experience: At least five (5) years of investment experience in stocks, bonds, or foreign securities; formulation of investment strategies, policies and procedures; asset allocation; monitoring and evaluating external investment management firms; performance measurement; or market research. Prefer experience in managing personnel and multiple projects. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and be computer literate. Please provide details of all experiences.
