HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (HHFDC)

The HHFDC is responsible for the financing and development of affordable housing in the State of Hawaii and is seeking highly motivated and dedicated professionals for the following positions:

Project Resource Specialist
Assists with the preparation and monitoring of the performance of the HHFDC budget and various revolving funds. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in program analysis and evaluation, budgeting or any combination of these areas, with at least 2-1/2 years of experience in program analysis and evaluation.

Housing Development Specialist II
(Two Positions)
Supports efforts to foster the development and preservation of supportive infrastructure and all types of affordable housing. Candidates must possess a college degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in development (engineering, architecture, community planning, law, real estate, business or accounting) with 3 or more years of experience in infrastructure and/or housing development or a college degree from an accredited college or university in any field with 5 or more years in infrastructure and/or housing development.

Housing Finance Specialist I
Assists in administering housing finance programs such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program, the Rental Housing Trust Fund Program and the Hula Mae Multi-Family Revenue Bond Program. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, economics or real estate. In addition, candidates must have 1 year experience in real estate finance.

Housing Warranty & Inspection Technician
Inspects and reports on HHFDC’s construction projects for conformance to plans, specs, laws and ordinances, and verification of progress payment requests. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited college or university or a high school graduate with 6 yrs. experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or maintenance and repair of buildings. 3 of 6 yrs. must have been in the performance of actual field work in the construction industry. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree must have 1 year experience in the building and construction industry.

Land Ownership Specialist
Oversees compliance of lease terms and conditions for HHFDC leases, and coordinates Land Reform Program and Lease Rent Renegotiation Program activities. Candidates must have a bachelor’s from an accredited college or university with preferred fields of study in Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting or Finance. In addition, 4 years of experience of progressively responsible work in either office management or para-professional services in title search, escrow, banking, real estate, land court certification or legal procedures.
