Starting salary:

Minimum requirements: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school, including or supplemented by course work in typing, and four years of responsible clerical experience, one year of which shall have included the preparation, processing, and retrieval of records, documents, and materials relative to legislative matters and the dissemination of information relative thereto.

PUBLIC INFORMATION AND EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Permanent Vacancy – Department of Water Supply in S. Hilo
Starting salary:
$3,954.00 – $5,628.00/month

Minimum requirements: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree in journalism, public relations, business or public administration, education, or a related field and four years of professional work experience in public relations, journalism, public or business administration that included experience in developing newsletters, brochures, websites, and other informational materials for the media; and supplemented or included by two years of experience involving the facilitation of strategic and business planning. Ability to travel independently to various geographic locations. This requirement may be fulfilled by possession of a valid State of Hawai`i driver’s license (Class 3), valid comparable driver’s license, or use of other means of transportation which meets position needs.
