NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
SEALED BIDS will be received up to and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm on November 27, 2006, in the office of Waianae Coast Community Mental Health Center Inc. for:
PAHOA BUILDING RENOVATIONS
1st OF CONTEMPLATED THREE PHASES
(WITH FOCUS ON MAIN HALL ONLY)

Plans and specifications will be available on November 13, 2006 and will be issued upon payment of $25.00 for three (3) sets of Bidding Documents, payable to the Waianae Coast Community Mental Health Center, Inc. The deposit will be completely refunded if documents are returned in good condition within five (5) days following receipt of Bids. Person of contact is Poka Laenui, 697-3045 (tel) 696-5516 (fax).
This project will be funded under: Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-383). This project will be funded under the Community Development Block Grant program, administered by the Fair Housing Office, Department of Community Services, City & County of Honolulu, Sub- recipient Agreement F-56226, which presently allocates $270,000 for construction. Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable current State and Federal labor standards in effect at the time the Contract is executed. Your attention is called to General Decision: HI20030001 10/27/2006 HI, wage rate decision, which is the most current decision prior to the release of this Notice to Contractors.
Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractor.
A pre-bid conference and site inspection will be held on November 17, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at the site. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site during the bid period; therefore attendance at this meeting is encouraged.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
Bidders attention is directed to ACT 352, SLH 1997, relating to the requirements for tax clearances from State Department of Taxation and the Internal Revenue Service, as a prerequisite to entering into a contract and final payment of contract. Qualified small and minority business firms and firms owned by women are encouraged to submit bids.
