TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2006-10 TO AMEND SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d)(a) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXVI OF SECTION 15-16.1 ESTABLISHING TIME LIMIT PARKING; SCHEDULE XXVIII OF SECTION 15-17.2(d) ESTABLISHING RESTRICTED PEDESTRIANS CROSSING ROADWAYS; SCHEDULE XXXVII OF SECTION 15-7.2(i) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–10 MPH.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thereto the following item:
Palapu St., for its entire length.
b. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
Piikoi St. No left turn or U-turn from Piikoi St. at Waimanu St. in both directions.
2. By deleting therefrom the following items:
Piikoi St., No U-turn from Piikoi St. at Waimanu St.
Piikoi St. No left turn from Piikoi St. into Ala Moana Center ramp across Waimanu St.
c. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours by deleting therefrom the following item:
South St., Ewa side, distance 166 makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Pohukaina St.
d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
Apiki St., within its makai (eastern) turnaround area.
Hobron Ln., Koko Head side, distance 70 mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Ala Moana Blvd.
Hobron Ln., Koko Head side, distance 75 makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Kaioo Dr. (makai intersection).
Kaala St., mauka side, distance 70 Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of University Ave.
Kaala St., mauka side, between driveways of 2318 and 2322 Kaala St.
Kaminaka Dr., Koko Head side, distance 140 mauka direction from a point 75 makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kalaepohaku St. (makai intersection).
Lemon Rd., both sides, for its entire length.
Makaloa St., mauka side, distance 113 Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St.
Makaloa St., mauka side, distance 398 Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Sheridan St.
Makaloa St., makai side, distance 130 Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Sheridan St.
Moaniani St., western side, distance approximately 38 southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Ukee St.
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Lamaloa Pl., mauka side, for its entire length; to read:
Lamaloa Pl., mauka side, from Palolo Ave. to and including its turnaround area.
Wilder Ave., mauka side, distance 145 Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Piikoi St.; to read:
Wilder Ave., mauka side, distance 185 Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Piikoi St.
3. By deleting therefrom the following items:
Lemon Rd., mauka side, distance 77 Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Kapahulu Ave.
Kaala St., makai/Koko Head corner, at intersection Kaala St. and Oahu Ave. from point 99 Ewa of Ewa curb prolongation Walu Wy. and makai curb prolongation Kaala St. and extending around curve of said corner to point on Koko Head side Oahu Ave., makai of Kaala St., total distance 114.
e. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones by deleting therefrom subsection (b) freight loading zones:
Makaloa St., mauka side, distance 40 Ewa direction from a point 85 Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Keeaumoku St., 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday except Sundays and State holidays.
f. By amending Schedule XXVI of Sec. 15-16.1 establishing time limit parking by adding thereto the following item:
Makakoa St., (2 hrs.) both sides, between Keeaumoku and Sheridan Sts., 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday except Sundays and State holidays.
g. By amending Schedule XXVIII of Sec. 15-17.2(d) establishing restricted pedestrians crossing roadways in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
Bishop St., the unmarked crosswalk across Bishop St. on the makai side of the intersection of Bishop St. and Adams Ln.
Kamehameha Hwy., between Mehana and Kahuhipa Sts., mid-block fronting the Kaneohe Star Market at 46-023 Kamehameha Hwy.
Keeaumoku St., between Rycroft and Liona Sts., mid-block on Keeaumoku St. fronting the Hawaii Medical Service Association Building at 818 Keeaumoku St.
S. King St., between Kealamakai St. and Ward Ave., mid-block on S. King St. fronting the KITV 4 ABC Building at 801 S. King St.
2. By deleting therefrom the following items:
Beretania St., the unmarked crosswalk across Beretania St., on the Ewa side of the intersection of Beretania and Bishop Sts.
Bishop St., the unmarked crosswalk across Bishop St. on the mauka side of the intersection of Bishop St. and Adams Ln.
Bishop St., the unmarked crosswalk across Bishop St. on the makai side of the intersection of Bishop and Beretania Sts.
Kamehameha Hwy., Kaneohe, from a point 310 Waimanalo of the Waimanalo curbline prolongation of Mehana St.
h. By amending Schedule XXXVII of Sec. 15-7.2(i) establishing speed limit–10 mph by adding thereto the following item:
Nihiwai Pl., for its entire length.
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
