MOTOR VEHICLE
STAFF ATTORNEY
The Insurance Division, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, State of Hawaii, is recruiting for qualified applicants to fill the position of Motor Vehicle Staff Attorney to assist its Motor Vehicle Insurance Fraud Investigations Unit. The Motor Vehicle Staff Attorney will be primarily responsible for the prosecution of motor vehicle insurance fraud cases.
Experience: At least five years of prosecution experience in the criminal justice system, preferably white collar criminal prosecution. Experience in screening potential cases, conferring on criminal charges, advising investigators, and processing a criminal case through trial.
Recommended Skills: Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system, preparing search warrants, motions, case charging, trials, and appellate work when necessary. Ability to independently execute all phases of a criminal case. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Minimum Education and Training: An attorney of good standing, licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaii.
