NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY FOR:
Project Awards
The Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation anticipates making approximately $35.5 million of funds available for eligible Rental Housing Trust Fund loans and grants in connection with the Fiscal Year 2007 funding rounds. A portion of the available funds originated from General Obligation Bonds issued by the State of Hawaiis Department of Budget and Finance, and therefore should be considered federally subsidized funds. (Currently, the Rental Housing Trust Fund has pending applications of approximately $16,235,763 million, subject to approval of the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation.)
In addition to the available funds, the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation may issue up to $15 million of revenue bonds for the funding of Rental Housing Trust Fund loans for eligible affordable rental projects.
All applications will be subject to funding availability and eligibility/qualifying guidelines of the program. Funds may be used for development, construction, acquisition, preservation, substantial rehabilitation of rental housing units that meet the program\u2019s criteria for eligibility. Applications for Project Awards will be available on November 1, 2006.
