Permanent Vacancy – Department of Parks and Recreation in Kona

Starting salary: $18.97/hour (20 hours/month)

Minimum requirements: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school, and applicants shall have experience playing in a concert band or orchestra or in a musical group over a six-year period, in which three years shall have included experience as an assistant conductor, first chair, and/or drum major.

WASTEWATER DEPUTY DIVISION CHIEF

Permanent Vacancy –
Department of Environmental Management in S. Hilo

Starting salary: $5,265.00 – $7,200.00/month

Minimum requirements: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, marine, sanitary, or chemical engineering or a related field and five years of responsible supervisory experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, two years of which shall have involved directing and coordinating the activities of a large and complex wastewater treatment plant; possession of a Certificate of Registration as a professional civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural engineer or as an architect in the State of Hawai`i. Possession of a valid State of Hawai`i driver\u2019s license (Class 3) or any other valid comparable driver’s license, provided, this license requirement may be waived for qualified individuals with disabilities who are able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
