Notice to Motorists
Beretania Street: North King Street to Alapai Street
Maunakea Street: Beretania Street to Pauahi Street

There will be road work on various streets in the areas shown above. The work primarily consists of reconstructing, milling and resurfacing the asphalt roadway. Additional activities include reconstruction of sidewalks, concrete bus pads, curb ramps, adjustment of utility boxes and manholes, replacing signs and reflector markings, improvements to the drainage system, and installing pavement markings. The work is scheduled to begin on September 18, 2006 with a contract duration of 365 calendar days. The work hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (with possible weekend work). Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time while driving through the work areas. Please observe all traffic controls and posted signs; expect lane closures and delays.
