HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (HHFDC)
The HHFDC is responsible for the financing and development of affordable housing in the State of Hawaii and is seeking highly motivated and dedicated professionals for the following positions:
Development Branch Chief
Oversees the Development Branch which facilitates the development of affordable homes through the provision of land, financing or processing of land use approvals pursuant to Chapter 201H, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Candidates must posses a college degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in development (e.g., engineering, architecture, urban planning, law, real estate or business) with 10 or more years of experience in the development of housing or infrastructure or a college degree from an accredited college or university in any field with 12 or more years of housing/infrastructure development experience. At least 3 years of professional supervisory work experience is also required.
Housing Information Specialist
Directs public and media relations for the HHFDC and prepares and disseminates information on various housing projects and programs. Candidates must possess a college degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in journalism or communications. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the English language, possess strong communication skills, and have at least 2 years of experience as a media spokesperson.
Systems Analyst/Programmer
Provides technical support for all HHFDC computer systems including support with personal computers, Local and Wide Area Networking systems, and telecommunications. Required are project management skills and knowledge of system implementation, PC support, windows server support, Local and Wide Area Networking, telecommunications, etc. and the ability to: effectively plan, organize and coordinate information technology programs; analyze problems and derive solutions; work effectively with users; troubleshoot problems relating to hardware, software and network performance; and clearly give and understand oral and written communications. Candidates must possess a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferably with a degree in Information Sciences. Excess experience of the type and quality described above, or any administrative, professional, or other responsible work, which required a high level of analytical skills, may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. At least 2-1/2 years of progressively responsible technical experience involving a variety of hardware, software, and transmission media that enable connectivity between mainframe, personal computers and LANs/WANs is also required.
Project Resource Specialist
Assists with the preparation and monitoring of the performance of the HHFDC budget and various revolving funds. Candidates must possess a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in program analysis and evaluation, budgeting or any combination of these areas, with at least 2-1/2 years of experience in program analysis and evaluation.
