NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG),
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME),
EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANTS (ESG) AND HOUSING
OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS (HOPWA) PROGRAMS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on September 27, 2006 by the City and County of Honolulu for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons With Aids (HOPWA) Programs. The hearing will provide interested persons with the opportunity to submit statements and supporting testimony on the community development and housing needs to be considered in the development of the Citys Action Plan and to review program performance based on the Citys accomplishments for the most recently completed fiscal year. The annual performance report and Citys accomplishments for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006 will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on September 29, 2006. Copies of the draft annual performance report and Citys accomplishments, known as the Citys Final Annual Community Assessment Report Program Year 2004, will be available on September 14, 2006 for public review at the Municipal Reference Library, City Hall Annex, 558 South King Street, Honolulu.
Testimony covering the Action Plan and the Citys annual performance report will be taken separately. Persons desiring to submit statements or testimony may register at the hearing site. Speakers will be limited to five (5) minutes in their oral presentation in order to provide everyone with a reasonable opportunity to speak. All speakers must submit five (5) written copies of their testimony. Persons unable to attend the public hearing may file their statements and testimonies regarding the Action Plan and the Citys annual performance report by close of business (4:30 p.m.) on September 28, 2006.
