Traffic Schedule No. 2006-8

TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2006-8 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Kahiuka St., for its entire length.”

“Kamoawa Pl., for its entire length.”

“Kamoawa St., for its entire length.

“Keaalii Pl., for its entire length.”

“Keama Pl., for its entire length.”

“Kipou St., for its entire length.”

“Kuhaimoana Pl., for its entire length.”

“Kupiapia Pl., for its entire lengh.”

“Kupipu Pl., for its entire length.”

“Lukahiu Pl., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following items:

“Kamoawa Pl-Kamoawa St. Traffic on Kamoawa Pl. shall stop before entering Kamoawa St.”

“Kamoawa St-Kahiuka St. Traffic on Kamoawa St. shall stop before entering Kahiuka St.”

“Keaalii Pl-Kahiuka St. Traffic on Keaalii Pl., shall stop before entering Kahiuka St.”

“Keaalii Wy. (stem portion-west bound)-Keaalii Wy. Traffic on Keaalii Wy. (stem portion-west bound) shall stop before entering Keaalii Wy.”

“Keaalii Wy-Keaalii Pl. Traffic on Keaalii Wy. shall stop before entering Keaalii Pl.”

“Kuhaimoana Pl-Kahiuka St. Traffic on Kuhaimoana Pl. shall stop before entering Kahiuka St.

“Kupiapia Pl-Kamoawa St. Traffic on Kupiapia Pl. shall stop before entering Kamoawa St.”

“Kupipu Pl-Kahiuka St. Traffic on Kupipu Pl. shall stop before entering Kahiuka St.”

“Lukahiu Pl-Kahiuka St. Traffic on Lukahiu Pl. shall stop before entering Kahiuka St.”

c. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Smith St., Koko Head side, between Pauahi and Beretania Sts.”

d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Ainakuai Pl, Koolau (eastern) side, distance 29’ Wahiawa direction from a point 180’ Wahiawa (north) of the Wahiawa curb prolongation of Milia St. and including its turnaround area.”

“Ainakuai Pl., Waianae (western) side, distance 72’ Wahiawa direction from a point 135’ Wahiawa (north) of the Wahiawa curb prolongation of Milia St.”

“Akepa St., Koko Head side, distance 144’ mauka (northerly) direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Auhuhu St.”

“Akepa St., Ewa side, distance 169’ mauka (northerly) direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Auhuhu St.”

“Kahiuka St., southern side, distance 52’ easterly direction from the eastern curb prolongation of Kapolei Parkway.”

“Kahiuka St., southern side, distance 80’ easterly direction from a point 8’ west of the western curb prolongation of Keaalii Pl.”

“Kahiuka St., southern side, distance 707’ easterly direction from a point 45’ west of the western curb prolongation of Kuhaimoana Pl., to and including its eastern turnaround area.”

“Kahiuka St., northern side, from Kapolei Parkway to its eastern turnaround area.”

“Kamoawa Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Kamoawa St., within its turnaround area.”

“Keaalii Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Keaalii Wy., within its mauka (northern) and makai (southern) turnaround areas.”

“Keaunui Dr., eastern side, from Iroquois Point Rd. to a point 120’ north of the northern curb prolongation of Keonekapu St.”

“Keaunui Dr., eastern side, distance approximately 120’ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Laupai St.”

“Keaunui Dr., eastern side, distance approximately 120’ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Laupai St.”

“Keaunui Dr., eastern side, from a point 115’ south of the southern curb prolongation of Kaukolu St. to Kolowaka Dr.”

“Keaunui Dr., western side, from Iroquois Point Rd. to a point 120’ north of the northern curb prolongation of Keonekapu St.”

“Keaunui Dr., western side, from Kolowaka Dr. to the southern curb prolongation of Laupai St.”

“Kuhaimoana Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Kuikele St., makai side, distance 90’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Kalihi St.”

“Kupiapia Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Kupipu Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Liliha St., Koko Head side, distance 49’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kuakini St.”

“Lukahiu Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Manoa Rd., Ewa side, distance 69’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Oahu Ave. (Pawaina St. intersection).”

“Pohaku Pl., both sides, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Hawaii Kai Dr., Ewa side, distance 260’ makai direction from a point 280’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kaluanui Rd.; to read:

“Hawaii Kai Dr., Ewa side, from a point 250’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kaluanui Rd. to a point 122’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Ainahou St., except for portion specified in Schedule 25.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Hawaii Kai Dr., Ewa side, distance 290’ makai direction from the mauka approach “stop line” of Hawaii Kai Dr. at Wailua St.”

“Keaunui Dr., both sides, for its entire length.”

“Pohaku Pl., mauka (northern) side, for its entire length and including is turnaround area.”

“Pohaku Pl., makai side, approximately 40’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Pohaku St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones subsection (a) passenger loading zones by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Keanu St., makai side, distance 48’ Ewa direction from point 148’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Hunakai St.”

f. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:

1. By amending thereto the following item:

Hawaii Kai Dr., Ewa side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 33’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Wailua St.; to read:

“Hawaii Kai Dr., Ewa side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 165’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Wailua St.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Hamakua Dr., makai (eastern) side, distance 150’ Kahuku (northerly) direction from a point 65’ Kahuku of the Kahuku curb prolongation of Akoakoa St.”

“Hamakua Dr., mauka (western) side, distance 150’ Kahuku (northerly) direction from a point 33’ Kahuku of the Kahuku property line of 268 Hamakua Dr.”

“Kipapa Dr., Koolau side, distance 144’ Honolulu direction from the Honolulu curb prolongation of Ikaloa St.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
