NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 07-020, with plans, St. John Plant Science Lab, Reroof Tower, Building 198A; Reroof Building 198B will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.
Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., September 4, 2006. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.
It is highly recommended that all bidders, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (C-52), and Roofing Contractors (C-42) attend a pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 2:30 pm, August 23, 2006, at the St. John Plant Science Lab, 3190 Maile Way, Honolulu. Bidders must purchase a Gate Ticket ($3.00) and park in Facilities Planning and Management Office Shop Base Yard. Do not park in front of any of the roll-up doors. Additional parking available at the Zone 20 quarry Parking Structure. Bidders shall display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view for parking guards.
Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Carol Ogata, no later than 4:00 p.m., September 1, 2006.
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., September 15, 2006.
The project shall generally consist of demolition and hazardous material abatement. New work includes installation of modified bituminous membrane roofing system, metal roofing, flashing and fluid applied roofing system, concrete deck and wall repair, steel plates, roof drains, downspouts, roof vents, flue vents and caps, air conditioning duct work, mechanical equipment, plumbing and electrical, concrete work, aluminum louver, doors and frames, lath and plaster, acoustical ceiling tiles, light fixtures, glass pipes, complete.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license B. BIDS FROM OUT-OF-STATE CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.
