Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) is a JCAHO accredited facility licensed for 190 beds providing psychiatric inpatient services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. We are currently recruiting for the following non-civil service exempt positions:
Associate Administrator,
Quality Management
This position will assist in hospital leadership & have overall accountability for the planning, directing, integrating, & coordinating Performance Improvement/Risk Management, Medical Records, Staff Development & Training, Medical Library, Communications, Utilization Management, hospital-wide policies & procedures, & all licensing & accreditation activities.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain a Hawaii RN license. Bachelor of Science in a health related field (Masters preferred) or equivalent combination of training & experience including graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Equivalent combination shall mean 5+ years of managerial experience in the application of Quality/Management/Assessment & Improvement principles & techniques in a clinical setting.
Hospital Nursing Manager
This position is responsible for ensuring that the Nursing Unit at HSH provides the highest standards of psychiatric inpatient treatment & rehabilitation care & accountability for the clinical practice of the nursing unit & compliance with quality improvement activities.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain a Hawaii RN license. Certification in Nursing Administration; and/or Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred.
Risk Manager
This position is responsible for independently identifying areas of potential & actual loss, facilitating coordinated corrective actions & consultation in order to improve the quality of patient care & reduce the risk of loss at HSH.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain a Hawaii RN license. Masters degree in Nursing Administration, Business, Public Health or Law preferred. Minimum of five years experience in a Hospital Risk Management position preferred.
