Adult Mental Health Division (AMHD)
Non-Civil Service Positions (Exempt)
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Assists Clinical Operations Officer in maintaining systems for collection, analysis, tracking, and reporting of data and providing oversight of AMHDs clinical operations. MQ: bachelors degree in behavioral health, social sciences, business, or related field from an accredited college or university; and 2 years of experience working for behavioral health provider, managed care organization, or government entity.
CASE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Assists the Case Management Services Director in coordinating a statewide system of case management services. MQ: bachelors degree in nursing, psychology, social work, or other related social science and 5 years of experience in the adult mental health field.
FORENSIC DIRECTOR
Develops, implements, and provides ongoing oversight and evaluation of the quality of a comprehensive statewide forensic services system that seeks to balance effective treatment strategies with public safety considerations. Forensic services are defined as the area of overlap between publicly funded mental health services and the criminal justice system. Included are services for persons found incompetent to stand trial and not guilty by reason of mental disease, as well as programs for jail diversion and conditional release. MQ: masters or doctoral level mental health clinician. 5 years of clinical and administrative leadership experience in forensic mental health in a community-based setting is preferred.
PLANNING SPECIALIST
Responsible for the integrity of AMHD planning from statewide to county levels. MQ: masters degree in social work, nursing, psychology, or other behavioral science from an accredited college or university; and 5 years of experience working in a behavioral health program.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND
DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Plans, develops, implements, coordinates, and supervises the revenue enhancing and purchase of services contract activities for AMHD. MQ: bachelors degree with a major in business administration, public administration, behavioral or social science, or other related field with appropriate licensure; 2 years of direct experience with payers of health care services, utilization management, and/or compliance programs; and 1 year of experience developing and utilizing data and statistics for surveillance and program improvement. Possession of a masters degree or a doctoral degree may be substituted for 1 to 2 years of experience.
UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT (UM)
SPECIALIST
Responsible for the admissions of consumers to AMHD funded services; the continuous review and monitoring of services utilization; and the provision of reviews, consultation, and training. MQ: bachelors or masters degree in social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, or other related field; relevant licensure; and 2 years experience in a psychiatric setting providing professional services. Relevant substitutions for education will be considered with appropriate licensure. Relevant experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care UM analysis or experience managing psychiatric service resource allocations based on clinical evidence-based practice and fiscal criteria preferred.
UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT (UM)
SUPERVISOR
Plans, develops, implements, coordinates, and supervises the admissions of consumers to AMHD funded services; the continuous review and monitoring of services utilization; and the provision of reviews, consultation and training. MQ: masters degree in social work, nursing specializing in mental health, or other related field from an accredited college or university; relevant licensure; and 2 years of supervisory experience in a UM program.
