ALOHA TOWER DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR/
SPECIAL ASSISTANT

The Aloha Tower Development Corporation (ATDC), a State of Hawaii agency responsible for enhancing and strengthening Hawaii\u2019s economy by facilitating and providing redevelopment opportunities in the Aloha Tower Complex for private capital investments, as well as through the formation of public-private partnerships, is seeking an individual to serve as the Special Assistant/Development Director to the Chief Executive Officer of ATDC, concentrating on development initiatives for the Aloha Tower Project Area, and update of the Hawaii Administrative Rules governing ATDC.

This position is exempt from State Civil Service requirements but features State fringe benefits such as vacation and sick leave, health and life insurance, and retirement.

Requirements include:

Education: Graduation from an accredited university with a degree in business administration, planning, law, or a management-related discipline.

Experience: Four years negotiating real estate development contracts including multi-million dollar development contracts; development of commercial projects involving at least five years of negotiating experience; development and construction of large-scale urban redevelopment projects; at least five years of program management and management of staff; public finance; zoning; land use regulation; public agency interaction; and waterfront activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Zoning, land use regulation, and maritime needs; effective written and oral communication; and communication and interaction with professionals, government officials, and the general public.
