INVITATION FOR BIDS
FOR A RECYCLING CONCESSION AT THE KAUAI RESOURCE CENTER
3460 AHUKINI ROAD
LIHUE, KAUAI

Pursuant to HRS Chapter 102, SEALED TENDERS will be received up to and publicly opened at 2:00 P.M., Hawaii Standard Time on July 28, 2006 in the Office of the Division of Purchasing, Department of Finance, 4444 Rice Street, Room 303, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii located at the Lihue Civic Center Complex, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii 96766 for a:

RECYCLING CONCESSION AT THE KAUAI RESOURCE CENTER
3460 AHUKINI ROAD, LIHUE, KAUAI, HAWAII

BIDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT EVIDENCE OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE BID DOCUMENT IS REQUIRED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE BID DOCUMENTS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF A BID AS BEING NON-RESPONSIVE.
The successful bidder is required to submit to the County of Kauai, a tax clearance as required by HRS 103-53 from the State Department of Taxation and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. A Certificate of Good Standing from the State Department of Commerce, and a Certificate of Compliance from the State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is also required as a pre-requisite to entering into a contract.
The Director of Finance reserves the right to cancel this Invitation for Bid or to reject any or all others in whole or in part when in the best interest of the County.
All prospective bidders must give written notice of their intention to bid. Such written notice must be submitted sufficiently ahead of time to be received with the Office of the Division of Purchasing, Department of Finance, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 303, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii no later than 4:00 P.M. HST on July 19, 2006. Risk of late delivery of mail shall lie with the bidder.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled on June 30, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. HST promptly at the Kauai Resource Center.
Bid documents may be obtained from the Division of Purchasing upon application for Invitation for Bids Document No. 2776.
