NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT AND COMPILATION
OF HAWAII ADMINISTRATIVE RULES
CHAPTER 3-70
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapters 91 and 109, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), notice is hereby given that the Stadium Authority will hold a public hearing on July 27, 2006, at 10:00 A.M., Aloha Stadium Hospitality Room, Aloha Stadium, 99-500 Salt Lake Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii 96818, where interested persons may be heard on the proposed rules to be adopted and the proposed amendments described below.
A proposed amendment to Section 3-70-19, Chapter 3-70, Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR), entitled, Rules of the Stadium Authority, would increase the admission charge to the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet to $1 per person age 12 and above from the current 50 cents, provided however, that the Authority may in its discretion waive the admission fee, in whole or in part, for up to fifteen (15) days each year.
A proposed amendment to Section 3-70-10 would repeal subsections (c) and (d), which provide for moving the stands to the baseball configuration and as requested by licensees. A proposed amendment to Section 3-70-11 would repeal paragraph (3) of subsection (a) and the reference to non-professional baseball games in paragraph (4) of subsection (a). The purpose of these amendments is to conform the Rules and to give effect to the Stadium Authoritys decision to lock the stands in the football configuration.
All interested persons shall be afforded an opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments, at the time of the hearing, orally or in writing. Persons who wish to testify are requested to submit ten (10) copies of their written testimony at the time of their presentation. All persons wishing to submit written statements are requested to submit ten (10) copies of the written statement to the Stadium Manager, Stadium Authority, Aloha Stadium, 99-500 Salt Lake Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii 96818, or by mail at P.O. Box 30666, Honolulu, Hawaii 96820-0666 (Oahu), or by facsimile to (808) 486-9520 (Oahu) by 4:30 P.M., July 20, 2006.
Copies of the proposed rules amendments will be mailed to any interested person who requests them and pays the required fees for the copies and the postage, if any. The request may be made in writing to the Stadium Manager, Stadium Authority, P.O. Box 30666, by telephone by calling (808) 486-9500 (Oahu), or by facsimile to (808) 486-9520 (Oahu).
Copies of the proposed rules amendments may be reviewed in person at the Stadium Managers Office, Aloha Stadium, 99-500 Salt Lake Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii 96818 Monday through Friday, except holidays, between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. They also may be viewed electronically at: http://www.state.hi.us/dags/adminrules/ stadium/amendments_370.pdf.
