Traffic Schedule No. 2006-5

TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2006-5 TO AMEND SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thererto the following items:

“Ahilama Rd., between Pulama and Lamaula Rds.”

“Lamaula Rd., between Pulama and Wailehua Rds.

“Papipi Rd., from the western turnaround to Pohakupuna Rd.”

“Pulama Rd., between 47-470 Pulama Rd. and Ahilama Rd.”

b. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Glen Ave., for its entire length.”

“Papipi Rd., from Pohakupuna Rd. to Ft. Weaver Rd.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Lamaula Rd., for its entire length; to read:

“Lamaula Rd., between Ahilama and Wailehua Rds.”

c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following items:

“Kamakoi St-Pulama Rd. Traffic on Kamakoi St. shall stop before entering Pulama Rd.”

“Lamaula Rd-Pulama Rd. Traffic on Lamaula Rd. shall stop before entering Pulama Rd.”

d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Aliikoa St., both sides, on the Kapakahi Canal Bridge.”

“Hakuone Pl., southern side, for its entire length to and including its turnaround area.”

“Kinipopo St., northwestern side, for its entire length and including its terminus.”

“Kuahelani Ave., western side, distance 71’ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Kahoea St.”

“Lakeview Circle, northern side, distance 185’ westerly direction from a point 80’ east of the easterly curb prolongation of the stem of Lakeview Circle.”

“Lunaapono Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Mott-Smith Dr., Ewa side, distance 165’ makai direction from a point 70’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Nehoa St., 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 1:00-2:30 p.m. school days.”

“Mott-Smith Dr., Ewa side, distance 330’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Lewalani Dr.”

“Mott-Smith Dr., Ewa side, distance 32’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Clio St.”

“Mott-Smith Dr., Ewa side, distance 29’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Clio St.”

“Young St., makai side, distance 80’ Koko Head direction from a point 95’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Akoko Ln. (Interstate Building driveway).”

“Young St., mauka side, distance 86’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Victoria St.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Lewalani Dr., Koko Head side, between Nehoa St. and Mott-Smith Dr.; to read:

“Lewalani Dr., Koko Head side, between Nehoa and Piikoi Sts.”

Lewalani Dr., Ewa side, distance 383’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Piikoi St.; to read:

“Lewalani Dr., Ewa side, distance 230’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Piikoi St.”

Mott-Smith Dr., from a point 65’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Piikoi St. and extending in the mauka direction to Nehoa St.; to read:

“Mott-Smith Dr., Koko Head side, between Lewalani Dr. and Nehoa St.”

Young St., makai side, distance 70’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Victoria St.; to read:

“Young St., makai side, distance 580’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Victoria St.”

Young St., mauka side, distance 55’ Koko Head direction from a point 420’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Victoria St.; to read:

“Young St., mauka side, distance 26’ Koko Head direction from a point 394’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Victoria St.”

Young St., mauka side, distance 65’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Pensacola St.; to read:

“Young St., mauka side, distance 291’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Pensacola St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Hakuone Pl., northern side, for its entire length.”

“Hakuone Pl., southern side, from a point approximately 138’ east of the eastern curb prolongation of Hakuone St. to and including its turnaround area.”

“Mott-Smith Dr., Ewa side, between Nehoa and Clio Sts.”

e. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones in the following particulars:

1. By amending thereto subsection (a) passenger loading zones the following item:

Young St., makai side, distance 110’ Ewa direction from a point 34’ Ewa of the Koko Head boundary of 1061 Young St., 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; to read:

“Young St., makai side, distance 110’ Koko Head direction from a point 580’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Victoria St., 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.”

2. By adding thereto subsection (b) freight loading zones the following item:

“Young St., mauka side, distance 35’ Ewa direction from a point 291’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pensacola St., 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, except Sundays and State holidays.”

f. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by amending thereto the following item:

Kuahelani Ave., Koolau side, distance 150’ Honolulu direction from a point 121’ Honolulu of the Honolulu curb prolongation of Kaloapau St.; to read:

“Kuahelani Ave., Koolau side, distance 169’ Honolulu direction from a point 121’ Honolulu of the Honolulu curb prolongation of Kaloapau St.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
