NOTICE
The COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU at its meeting held on May 17, 2006, passed the following bills on Second Reading by the following votes:
BILL 25 (2006), CD1 REAL PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION The purpose of this bill is to establish a tax exemption for properties designated as kuleana land and also to make conforming amendments.

BILL 38 (2006) SOLID WASTE The purpose of this bill is to address the citys solid waste disposal problem by requiring the city to increase the tonnage of municipal solid waste converted to energy by the year 2010.

BILL 39 (2006) ZONE CHANGE AT NORTH BERETANIA STREET The purpose of this bill is to rezone land situated at 230 and 254 North Beretania Street between Aala Street and College Walk, Kalihi-Palama from B-2 Community Business District to BMX-3 Community Business Mixed Use District with a 200-foot height limit, TMK: 1-7-026: 004 and 016. (Applicant: 3D, Investments, LLC)

BILL 40 (2006), CD1 ZONE CHANGE AT EWA The purpose of this bill is to rezone land at Ewa from A-1 Low Density Apartment District and I-1 Limited Industrial District with a 40-foot height limit to A-2 Medium Density Apartment District with a 40-foot height limit, and IMX-1 Industrial-Commercial Mixed Use District with a 40-foot height limit, TMK: 9-1-069:005 (portion) and 9-069:006 (portion). BILL 41 (2006), CD1 AMENDMENTS TO TWO UNILATERAL AGREEMENTS – The purpose of this bill is to amend conditions in two existing unilateral agreements related to a future child-care facility for Ewa by Gentry.

BILL 43 (2006) INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN The purpose of this bill is to require that the City and County of Honolulu have a workable and usable 25-year integrated solid waste management plan and that this plan be revised every five years to reflect any changes to that plan.

BILL 44 (2006), CD1 ZONE CHANGE AT KAPOLEI, EWA The purpose of this bill is to rezone land at Kapolei, Ewa, from AG-2 General Agricultural District to B-2 Community Business District with a 60-foot height limit, TMK: 9-1-016:009. (Applicant: The Waters of Kapolei, L.L.C., DBA Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park)

BILL 45 (2006), CD1 STATE LAND USE DISTRICT BOUNDARY MAP AMENDMENT The purpose of this bill is to amend a portion (fifteen acres or less) of the State Land Use District Boundary Map No. 0-6 (Ewa Quadrangle) by reclassifying certain lands in Kapolei from the Agricultural District to the Urban District, TMK: 9-1-016:009. BILL 49 (2006) STREAM MAINTENANCE The purpose of this bill is to ensure the timely maintenance of streams on Oahu and to make housekeeping amendments by changing the references to the department of public works to the department of facility maintenance, and references to the department of finance to the department of budget and fiscal services.
