CORAL WIRELESS LLC, NEXTEL PARTNERS INC. AND CINGULAR WIRELESS

Applicant: Coral Wireless LLC, Nextel Partners Inc. and Cingular Wireless
Landowner: Waikiki Ventures, Inc.
Location: 91-1343 Fort Weaver Road – Ewa Beach

Existing Use: Ranch and telecommunications facilities
Existing Zoning: AG-1 Restricted Agricultural District
Land Area: 2,226 square feet (subject area); 48.395 acres (lot area)
REQUEST: To obtain a Special Use Permit for the lead applicant (Coral Wireless LLC) who proposes to co-locate at an existing telecommunications facility currently consisting of a lattice tower and accessory equipment.

This hearing is to be held under the provisions of Chapters 46, 91, 92, and 205, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Articles VI and XIII, Revised Charter of the City and County of Honolulu, 1973, as amended; Sections 2-40, 2-43, and 2-44, Rules of the Planning Commission, City and County of Honolulu; and Subchapter 12 of the Hawaii Land Use Commission Rules (Chapter 15-15, Hawaii Administrative Rules).

Any person or agency wishing to intervene as a party in the proceeding shall file a petition with the Commission within fourteen (14) days after this notice is published in the Star Bulletin. The petition must conform to the requirements of Subchapter 5 of the Rules of the Planning Commission, which are available at the City Bookstore. A contested case hearing may be held on the matter pursuant to action by the Planning Commission to grant the petition.

Special services for people with disabilities will be provided upon prior request. Maps showing the general locations and boundaries of the areas under consideration are on file at the Department of Planning and Permitting, 1st floor, Honolulu Municipal Building.

These maps are available to the public for inspection during office hours. An original and fifteen (15) copies of testimony on this item should be filed with the Planning Commission at least forty-eight (48) hours before the date of the public hearing.
