NOTICE

The COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU at its meeting held on April 12, 2006, passed the following bills on Second Reading by the following votes:

BILL 23 (2006) – PARKING METER USAGE – The purpose of this bill is to clarify what constitutes a violation related to vehicles that park in parking meter spaces within the limits of public parks.
AYES: Councilmembers Apo, Dela Cruz, Djou, Garcia, Kobayashi, Marshall, Okino. – 7.
EXCUSED: Councilmembers Cachola, Tam. – 2.

BILL 35 (2006) – REAL PROPERTY TAX CREDIT – The purpose of this bill is to allow the city’s one-time tax credit against real property tax liability to be granted to additional property owners who have replaced their cesspools with septic tank systems on their respective properties.
AYES: Councilmembers Apo, Dela Cruz, Djou, Garcia, Kobayashi, Marshall. – 6.
EXCUSED: Councilmembers Cachola, Okino, Tam. – 3.

BILL 36 (2006), CD1 – LEASE OF CITY PROPERTY FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES – The purpose of this bill is to clarify the existing ordinance to ensure that the amount charged for the use of telecommunications facilities is consistent with the council’s intent.
AYES: Councilmembers Apo, Dela Cruz, Djou, Garcia, Kobayashi, Marshall. – 6.
EXCUSED: Councilmembers Cachola, Okino, Tam. – 3.
