NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Urban Works, Inc. will receive sealed bids up to 4:00 p.m. on May 15, 2006 from general contractors for a 2,608 s.f. office expansion to the main facility at Hina Mauka. Address: 45-845 Pookela Street, Kaneohe, Hawaii. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors.
Bidder shall send a written intent to bid to Urban Works, Inc. at 831 Pohukaina Street, Suite E1, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96813 by April 19, 2006. Up to three (3) sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained at Urban Works, Inc. starting April 24, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A refundable deposit of $200.00 is required for each Bid Document set. All checks shall be made payable to Urban Works, Inc. Deposits will be refunded to the Bidder upon the submission of a bona fide bid, and return of the Bidding Documents in good condition. No refunds shall be made after the expiration of the bid period, which ends ten (10) days after the bid opening.
Urban Works, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of Urban Works, Inc.
Bidders attention is directed to HRS 103-53, amended by Act 314, SLH 1996, related to the requirement for tax clearance from the State Department of Taxation and the Internal Revenue Service, as a prerequisite to entering into contract, and upon final settlement of a contract. Bidders and their subs must possess DCCA Certificates of Good Standing and cannot be on the Federal Excluded Parties Listing Service (EPLS). The project will be subject to labor standards. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage and certified payroll requirements.
This project will be funded under the Community Development Block Grant program, administered by the Fair Housing Office, Department of Community Services, City & County of Honolulu. (SB05522138 4/3, 4/5/06)
