NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 06-095, with plans, One-Stop Center, Kauai Community College, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822 OR at the Office of the Director of Administrative Services, Kauai Community College, 3-1901 Kaumualii Highway, Lihue, Hawaii 96766.
Bidders are encourage to attend a pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 9:30 a.m., April 11, 2006, at the Kauai Community College campus, Electronic Technology Center, Multipurpose Room (#114), 3-1901 Kaumualii Highway, Lihue, Hawaii. There is no charge for parking. Parking is available in the lot next to the building. Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Maynard Young, no later than 4:00 p.m., April 18, 2006.
Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., April 21, 2006. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., May 2, 2006.
Bids will be opened at 2:30 p.m., May 4, 2006.
The project in general consists of all site work including all labor and materials necessary for grubbing, grading, demolition of existing walkways, light posts, below grade utilities and other structures, walls, appurtenances or other items within the work area such as roadways and curb. The work will include the removal and relocation of the existing flag pole. New work will include curbs, concrete walkways, walkway finishes, planter seats, trash enclosure, plastic subsurface reinforcement system for access roadway, landscape and irrigation, trenching for utilities, utilities, connections to existing utilities.
All new work including all labor and materials to construct and finish the two story, approximately 33,000 square feet, One-Stop Center complete and fully functional. All new work including but not limited to the labor and materials to provide all lighting, electric power, data and communication lines, mechanical systems including the air conditioning system, plumbing system including plumbing fixtures and fire sprinkler system and fire alarm and control system. All new work including but not limited to the labor and materials to provide the structural steel frame, metal deck, concrete footings, concrete slab, masonry walls, metal framed direct applied exterior finish system (DEFS), aluminum windows, aluminum storefronts, doors and frames, door hardware, elevator and equipment, interior metal framed and gypsum board partitions, all floor, wall and ceiling finishes. All accessories and accoutrements as shown on the drawings including but not limited to signage, base and wall cabinets, countertops, paint finishes, toilet room partitions and accessories.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license B. BIDS FROM OUT-OF-STATE CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Bids received after the due time and date fixed above will not be considered.
