NOTICE TO BIDDERS
ELECTRICAL ASSESSMENT & DESIGN

Waikiki Community Center seeks proposals from qualified bidders for electrical assessment, planning and design for its existing three building facilities, located at 310 Paoakalani Ave, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, TMK: (1) 2-6-25: Por. 8 .

Scope of Services: 1) Assessment of current electrical capacity for 3 buildings; 2) Plan of action for electrical upgrades of all 3 buildings for current and future business use; 3) Detailed drawings of electrical upgrades and renovation to comply with current utility company and governmental electrical and building code requirements; 4) Hazmat assessment and remediation plan to implement electrical renovation; 4) Application for applicable building permits, as well as other permits, required by the City Department of Planning and Permitting; Determination, and if applicable, implementation of applicable level of environmental impact assessment or statement; 5) Cost estimate of potential cost to implement renovations; 6) Completed bid specification package to solicit potential contractors, in accordance with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) protocol, to implement electrical renovations.

Qualified bidders must have: 1) Minimum of 5 years proven experience in electrical engineering, assessment, planning and design; 2) Ability to work cooperatively with WCC Project Committee and architectural firm of WCC’s choice; 3) Familiarity with Waikiki Community Center facilities; 4) Minimum 2 years of proven experience with federally-funded construction projects.
