The Hawaii Department of Health, Tobacco Settlement Project, is seeking applicants for two Non-Civil Service Positions (Exempt) to begin work preferably on April 3, 2006.
School Health Education Project Coordinator
Salary commensurate with experience
The position will serve as a liaison to the Department of Education regarding public health strategies in physical activity, nutrition, tobacco and Coordinated School Health. The School Health Education Project Coordinator will provide leadership and guidance in working with Department staff and external stakeholders in implementing programs consistent with Education requirements and facilitate collaboration between agencies. Candidate must have proven track record in program planning, communication skills, project management, and developing and managing state contracts. Masters degree in public health or related field preferred, and an understanding/experience working with schools is desired.
Tobacco Settlement Community Outreach
Coordinator
Salary commensurate with experience
The position is a liaison to community organizations and supports coalition building at the county level. Candidate must have proven track record in program planning, communication skills, cultural competency, project management, and developing and managing state contracts. Masters degree in public health or related field preferred; desire experience establishing coalitions.
