OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR STATE OF HAWAII
The Office of the Auditor, State of Hawaii (legislative branch), is recruiting for mid-level analyst type positions (associate analyst and analyst) to conduct performance/management audits. Job duties include the review of the operations and programs of a variety of Hawaii state government agencies and entities. The work involves quickly absorbing and processing large volumes of information and materials, planning, gathering and analyzing evidence, developing findings, and writing draft reports of findings and recommendations. Must have good analytical skills and good communication skills (oral and written). Minimum: Masters degree in Public Administration, Business/Finance, Political Science, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or Accounting or other advanced education/certifications (e.g., CIA, MPA, MBA, CPA), GPA of at least 3.0, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Desirable: General understanding of the fields of public administration, finance, auditing or government functions; some knowledge of research and statistical methods applicable to analytical work.
