REQUEST: To obtain a Special Use Permit for an existing telecommunications
tower and modification to allow the co-location of additional
antennas and accessory equipment structures within the State
Land Use Agricultural District.
3. EWASTATE SPECIAL USE PERMIT2005/SUP-10
LOWER PALEHUA CELLULAR ANTENNA LATTICE TOWER
Applicant: Nextel Partners Inc.
Landowner: The Estate of James Campbell
Location: Lower Palehua, Makakilo, Ewa
Tax Map Key: 9-2-3: Portion 2
Existing Use: Telecommunications towers and accessory equipment
Existing Zoning: AG-2 General Agricultural District
Land Area: Approximately 1,000 square-feet
REQUEST: To obtain a Special Use Permit to establish a telecommunications
tower and accessory equipment structures within the State Land
Use Agricultural District.
This hearing is to be held under the provisions of Chapters 46, 91, 92, and 205, Hawaii
Revised Statutes, Articles VI and XIII, Revised Charter of the City and County of Honolulu, 1973, as amended; Sections 2-40, 2-43, and 2-44 Rules of the Planning Commission, City and County of Honolulu; and Subchapter 12 of the Hawaii Land Use Commission Rules (Chapter 15-15, Hawaii Administrative Rules).
Any person or agency wishing to intervene as a party in the proceeding shall file a petition with the Commission within fourteen (14) days after this notice is published in the Star Bulletin. The petition must conform to the requirements of Subchapter 5 of the Rules of the Planning Commission, which are available at the City Bookstore. A contested case hearing may be held on the matter pursuant to action by the Planning Commission to grant the petition.

Maps showing the general locations and boundaries of the areas under consideration are on file at the Department of Planning and Permitting, 1st floor, Honolulu Municipal Building.
These maps are available to the public for inspection during office hours. An original and fifteen (15) copies of testimony on this item should be filed with the Planning Commission at least forty-eight hours before the date of the public hearing.
