NOTICE FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
DESIGN & PAVING OF EAST MOOMOMI ROAD

RFP NO.: RFP-06-HHL-003

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is requesting proposals from interested parties to design and pave, the East Moomomi Road, Hoolehua, Island of Molokai, and further identified as TMK: 5-2-07.

The Paving of a portion of the East Moomomi Road Project consists of designing and constructing a roadway without curbs (40’ wide right-of-way) of approximately 4,200 lineal feet according to Maui County standards or to a lesser standard that the Maui County agrees to accept for Maintenance.

Beginning Wednesday, March 1, 2006, Request For Proposal (RFP) packets may be purchased with a non-refundable payment of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) from DHHL at 1099 Alakea Street, 12th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Payment shall be made in cash or by certified or cashiers check payable to the “Department of Hawaiian Home Lands”. The RFP packet may be examined at the location indicated above.

Prospective offerors are invited to attend an informational site inspection on Monday, March 20, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the proposed East Moomomi Avenue/Puupeelua Avenue Intersection, Hoolehua, Molokai, regarding this solicitation. A letter of intent may be submitted to DHHL no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2006.

All proposals must be received at the DHHL, 1099 Alakea Street, 12th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006.

DHHL reserves the right to cancel the RFP and reject any and all proposals when it is in the best interest of the State.
