NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The State Office of Community Services is eligible for $234,987 in federal funds from the U.S. Department of Energy for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). Measures to conserve energy will be made by installing water heater jackets, timers and solar systems. Eligible low-income families must be at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program shall run (or be in effect) from April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007.
A public hearing on the WAP State Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in the Office of Community Services, at the Keelikolani Building, Room 420, 830 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Those wishing to testify should provide three (3) copies of their written testimony at the hearing. Testimonies received will be considered prior to submittal of the final WAP State Plan to the U.S. Department of Energy.
The proposed WAP State Plan is currently available for review from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the following locations:
