KO OLINA SUBSTATION TRANSFORMER #1 AND CIRCUIT.

The PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION of the STATE OF HAWAII (Commission), pursuant to section 269-27.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), HEREBY GIVES NOTICE, that it will hold a public hearing on March 1, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. at Kapolei Middle School, located at 91-5335 Kapolei Parkway, E Building, regarding HAWAIIAN ELECTRIC COMPANY, INC.s (HECO), revised plans for one of the proposed 46 kV overhead line extensions for the Ko Olina Substation project, pursuant to section 269-27.6(a), HRS (Revised Alignment).
The Revised Alignment involves the section of 46 kV overhead conductors which will connect the existing Kahe-Standard Oil #2 46 kV overhead line from existing subtransmission wood pole P.126 along old Farrington Highway to the re-named Kahe-Standard Oil #2 46 kV line on existing subtransmission wood pole P. 139 along Farrington Highway. The Revised Alignment will attach the 46 kV line to ten (10) replacement distribution wood poles (poles P.135, P.134, P.133, P.132, P.131, P.130, P.129, P.128, P.127 and P.126X). The ten (10) existing 45-foot wood distribution poles will be replaced with 65-foot wood distribution poles.
All interested persons are urged to attend the public hearing to state their views orally, in writing, or both. Written statements may be submitted prior to or at the public hearing. Statements may be mailed or delivered to the Public Utilities Commission, 465 South King Street, #103, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96813. Statements may also be sent by electronic mail to the Commissions e-mail address at Hawaii.PUC@hawaii.gov. All written statements should reference Docket No. 05-0056 and must include the following information: (1) name of the person submitting the written statement; (2) organization representing (if any); and (3) address of the person submitting the written statement.
