Traffic Schedule No. 2008-2
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2008-2 TO AMEND SCHEDULE XIII OF SECTION 15-11.2(c) ESTABLISHING YIELD RIGHT- OF-WAY; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXI OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(8) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES– SPECIFIED TIMES; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule XIII of Sec. 15-11.2(c) by adding thereto the following item:

“Portlock Rd-Portlock Rd. Mauka/Ewa bound traffic on Portlock Rd. shall yield the right-of-way.”

b. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours by amending thereto the following item:

Kuakini St., mauka side, from a point 55’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of
Huna St. to a point 50’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Sereno St.; to read:

“N. Kuakini St., mauka side, from a point 30’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Huna St. to a point 50’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of
Sereno St.”

c. By amending Schedule XXI of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(8) establishing tow zones–specified times by amending thereto the following item:

University Ave., Koko Head side, distance 399’ mauka direction from a point 142’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Metcalf St., 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays; to read:

“University Ave., Koko Head side, distance 337’ mauka direction from a point 139’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Metcalf St., 6:30 a.m. to
5:30 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays, and State holidays.”

d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Ahinahina Pl., makai side, distance 40’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Palolo Ave.”

“Diamond Head Rd., makai side, distance 1800’ Koko Head direction from a point 1440’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Beach Rd. (look-out area), 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., daily.”

“Diamond Head Rd., mauka side, from a point 1600’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Poka St. to the Ewa curb prolongation of Beach Rd.,
10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. daily.”

“Diamond Head Rd., mauka side, distance 1035’ Ewa direction from a point 1030’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Poka St.”

“Diamond Head Rd., both sides, between Trousseau and Paikau Sts.”

“Diamond Head Rd., mauka side, from a point 1600’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Poka St. to the Ewa curb prolongation of Beach Rd.”

“East Manoa Rd., Ewa side, distance 74’ makai direction from a point 57’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Huapala St.”

“Kalalea St., both sides, between Aipo St. (mauka intersection) and Hawaii Kai Dr.”

“N. Kuakini St., makai side, distance 38’ Koko Head direction from the
Koko Head curb prolongation of Lanakila Ave.”

“N. Kuakini St., makai side, distance 111’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Alaneo St.”

“N. Kuakini St., mauka side, distance 123’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Lanakila Ave.”

“N. Kuakini St., mauka side, distance 64’ Koko Head direction from a point 211’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Lanakila Ave.”

“N. Kuakini St., mauka side, distance 335’ Ewa direction from a point
approximately 550’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Aipaako St.”

“Lawai St., makai side, distance 40’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Portlock Rd.”

“Lunalilo Home Rd., makai side, distance 102’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Portlock Rd.”

“Pule Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Stillman Ln., Ewa side, distance 60’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Puuhue Pl.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Ahe Pl., Koko Head side, for its entire length; to read:

“Ahe Pl., Koko Head side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

Diamond Head Rd., makai side, from Poni Moi Rd. to Beach Rd.; to read:

“Diamond Head Rd., makai side, from Poni Moi Rd. to a point 1440’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Beach Rd.”

N. Kuakini St., mauka side, distance 100’ Ewa direction from a point 296’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Nuuanu Ave.; to read:

“N. Kuakini St., mauka side, distance 470’ Ewa direction from a point 296’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Nuuanu Ave.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Diamond Head Rd., makai side, from the Ewa end of the Ewa most
look-out parking area to the Ewa property line prolongation of 3603
Diamond Head Rd., 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. daily.”

“Diamond Head Rd., mauka side, from the Ewa curb prolongation of Beach Rd. to the Ewa property line prolongation of 3603 Diamond Head Rd., 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.daily.”

“Diamond Head Rd., makai side, between the Koko Head curb
prolongation of Beach Rd. and the Ewa most lookout parking area.”

“Kalalea St., Koko Head side, between Aipo St. and Hawaii Kai Dr.”

“Kalalea St., Ewa side, distance 49’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Hawaii Kai Dr.”

“Kuakini St., both sides, on the Puehuehu Stream Bridge.”

“Kuakini St., mauka side, distance 310’ Koko Head direction from a point 65’ Ewa of the Ewa edge of the Koko Head driveway of Rehabilitation
Hospital of the Pacific, 226 N. Kuakini St.”

“Kuakini St., makai side, from Nuuanu Ave. to Nuuanu Stream, PM Peak.”

e. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by adding thereto the following items:

“Diamond Head Rd., mauka side, distance 150’ Ewa direction from a point 880’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Poka St.”

“Palolo Ave., Koko Head side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 165’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kauhana St. (mauka end).”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
