NOTICE
INVITATION FOR BIDS

Pursuant to 103D, HRS, SEALED OFFERS will be received up to and publicly opened at 2:00 P.M., HST in the Office of the Division of Purchasing, Department of Finance, 4444 Rice Street, Room 303, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii for the following:

ONE (1) TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS
Invitation For Bid No. 2908
Bid Opening: March 27, 2008

ONE (1) HEAVY DUTY FIRE RESCUE APPARATUS
Invitation For Bid No. 2909
Bid Opening: March 27, 2008

for the Kauai Fire Department, County of Kauai, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii. Bids received after the date and time specified above shall be rejected.
The Director of Finance also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
Bids must be signed in ink by the person or persons duly authorized to sign bids in the space provided for signature on the bid form.
BIDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT EVIDENCE OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE BID DOCUMENT IS REQUIRED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE BID DOCUMENTS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF THE BID AS BEING NON-RESPONSIVE.
The successful bidder is required to submit to the County of Kauai, a tax clearance from the State Department of Taxation and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, a Certificate of Good Standing from the State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and a Certificate of Compliance from the State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as a prerequisite to entering into a contract.
Solicitation documents may be obtained from the Division of Purchasing, upon application of solicitation documents. Bids must be submitted on County issued forms and must include all addendums.
