AND RESCHEDULING OF PUBLIC HEARING
MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION

The Maui Planning Commission for the County of Maui hereby gives notice that the public hearing scheduled on February 26, 2008 commencing at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Planning Department Conference Room, 1st Floor, Kalana Pakui Building, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793 on the following application has been canceled and rescheduled for public hearing on April 8, 2008 commencing at 1:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Planning Department Conference Room, 1st Floor, Kalana Pakui Building, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793:

SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREA USE PERMIT

KAI HOLU ASSOCIATION, INC. requesting an amendment to Condition No. 23 of
the Special Management Area Use Permit for the Kai Holu Subdivision (formerly
known as Kaunoa II Subdivision) to permit two (2) farm dwellings per lot when
currently only one (1) farm dwelling is allowed for lands located in the County
Agricultural District at TMK: 3-8-002: 101 to 117, Spreckelsville, Island of Maui.
One of the two farm dwellings per lot shall not exceed 1,000 square feet of
developable area. The current Condition No. 23 restricts the number of farm
dwellings to one per lot. The subdivision is developed with 17 lots on 39.7 acres of land. (95/SM1-1000) (P. Fasi)

The subject public hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui County Code and the Rules of the Maui Planning Commission. Information pertaining to the subject application may be obtained from the Maui County Planning Department, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku, Maui.

Petitions to intervene shall be in conformity with Section 12-201-20 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Maui Planning Commission and shall be filed with the Commission and served upon the applicant no less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing date. Filing of all documents to the Commission is c/o the Maui Planning Department, 250 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793. The deadline for the filing of a timely petition to intervene is March 24, 2008.

All testimony regarding the subject application may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department of Planning or may be presented at the time of the hearing.
