NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 08-082, Telecommunications Systems Upgrades, Kauai Community College, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822, OR at the OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, KAUAUI COMMUNITY COLLEGE, 3-1901 KAUMUALII HIGHWAY, LIHUE, HAWAII 96766.
Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., March 14, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.
Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders attend a pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 11:45 a.m., March 5, 2008 at Kauai Community College, Electronic Technology Building, Room 114, 3-1901 Kaumualii Highway, Lihue, Hawaii.
Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Gordon Man, FAX (808) 956-0865, no later than 4:00 p.m., March 11, 2008.
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., March 25, 2008.
Bids will be opened at 2:30 p.m., March 28, 2008.
Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.
The project in general consists of providing engineering/technical services to develop and execute various telecommunications system work as telecommunications sizing report, network assessment for Voice over IP (VoIP) implementation; furnish, deliver, install, commission and cutover new telecommunications system with VoIP; activate and commission all VoIP phones and network elements; de-install and dispose of existing telecommunications system components and structures that will not be re-used as spares; execute Phase II Cutover Plan with IP trunks and 7-digit dialing plan to Windward Community College, Maui Community College and/or other campuses; provide technical support and maintenance services for ONE (1) year, including any related work necessary to complete the project, as called for in Technical Specifications.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u00D5s license C-13 or C-15. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
