NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 08-078, with plans, Biomedical Sciences Building Tower, 2nd thru 7th Floors, Laboratory Animal Services – Animal Holding Rooms, HVAC System Upgrades, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.

Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., March 4, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.

Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders and Mechanical Contractors (C-52) attend the pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 9:00 a.m., February 20, 2008, at the Biomedical Sciences Building, Room T208, 1690 East-West Road, Honolulu.
Bidders must purchase a Gate Ticket ($3.00) and park in Zone 20 (Lower Campus Quarry Parking Lot) for this pre-bid conference. Bidders are to display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view of parking guards.

Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Blake Araki, Facilities Planning & Management Office, 2002 East-West Road, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96822, no later than 4:00 p.m., February 22, 2008.

Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., March 14, 2008. Bids received after the stated due time and date(s) will not be considered.

The project shall generally consist of removal and replacement of existing ceiling, lighting, ductwork and controls, reheat piping; removal of existing hot water coils, heat generator equipment, and steam piping; provide new hot water heat pumps, storage tanks, reheat coils, ventilation and pressure control systems, equipment supports, gyp-board, acoustical tile, complete.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u00D5s license B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
