Starting salary: $4,112.00 – $5,853.00/month
Minimum Requirements: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in marketing, business administration, public administration, economics, finance, foreign trade, or a related field and four years of responsible work experience involving the compilation, examination, analyses, and interpretation of statistical and other data, two years of which shall have involved the coordination and monitoring of community and/or economic development projects, and possession of a valid drivers license (submit a copy of your college transcript and drivers license).
Selective Certification requirements for immediate vacancy – be required to have a degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in energy and/or environmental science/ management/engineering. Applicants must possess work experience in the coordination of energy-related projects, energy policy and promotion of energy conservation; and/or significant work experience in strategic sustainable development principals, projects, policies and promotion, whole systems design, ecological science and management.

Selective certification requirements for immediate vacancy – be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with various individuals and groups toward specific goals, strategies, and objectives; possess experience in rural community development; possess experience in capacity building activities for/with communities; have the ability to recognize and diffuse potentially explosive situations; be trained and practiced in facilitation; be experienced in project management; possess familiarity with Hawai`i Island district community networks of various kinds; possess experience in coordinating community hazard mitigation and/or disaster training programs and resources; be experienced in non-profit group dynamics and resource allocation; be familiar with government systems and inter/intra departmental dynamics.
