WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT OF 1998
LOCAL WORKFORCE INVESTMENT AREA PLAN FOR 2008 – 2009

PUBLIC COMMENT INVITED
The Oahu Workforce Investment Board (OWIB) and its Executive Committee announce the introduction of the draft Local Workforce Investment Area Plan for the City and County of Honolulu for the period of February 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 in accordance with provisions of the Workforce Investment Act. Public input and comment on this draft local workforce investment area plan are welcomed.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
A copy of the draft plan will be available for public inspection and review from November 7, 2007 to December 7, 2007 at the following locations:

A copy of the draft plan will be made available to any interested person who requests a copy.
SUBMITTING COMMENTS
To be eligible for consideration, all comments on the draft plan must be submitted, in writing, by December 7, 2007 to the Oahu Workforce Investment Board. Comments may be submitted by any of the following methods:
1. Mail – must be received at OWIB no later than December 7, 2007.
2. Personal delivery
3. Fax to 522-7094
All comments received in response to this solicitation will be reviewed and used by OWIB to inform and guide its further development of the final Oahu Local Workforce Investment Plan for 2008-09.
